Vaccinations Are Essential Says Direct Line Pet Insurance

Dog and cat owners are being urged by Direct Line to ensure pet insurance is in place for their much loved animals as the cost of visiting the vet continues to increase.

A study by the insurer has found that over 10 percent of pet owners are behind on the vaccinations needed for their animals, simple things that can help prevent some of the most common illnesses suffered by pets. It appears that cost is the issue according to Direct Line, with dog owners spending around GBP1.5 billion at the vets each year.

As the price of caring for their animals becomes more restrictive so pet insurance becomes even more important, although as over sixty percent of dog owners do not have pet insurance at the moment the message really needs to hit home soon.
