Toddlers Create Home Insurance Claims Says Halifax

Halifax are advising everyone to watch out for the toddlers around their homes as they cause millions of pounds worth of damage every year, with boys apparently the most likely to have caused the damage.

Over a year young children cause damage to the value of over GBP120 million, a considerable sum that is mainly down to spills, breakages and creative artwork on walls and furniture. Of particular interest to young hands are mobile phones, with the great noises, colours and lights proving irresistible. When parents discussed their mobile phones with the Halifax it found that around thirty percent of them had seen them damaged by their children.

Parents, and other family members, are advised by the Halifax to make sure accidental damage is included on their home insurance policy, ensuring whatever the little darlings get up to is covered.
