To avoid stressful situations shoppers are being advised to be aware of their rights before going back with items, recommending the citizens advice bureau and consumers association as good sources of information. Knowing that December is almost thirty percent busier than any other month for refunds, the Halifax want shoppers to feel comfortable in this busy environment, hence the advice.
One aspect of buying on a Halifax credit card, or any credit card for that matter, is the additional protection offered through the card provider. It is useful to make purchases via credit card to gain this extra protection, especially on items bought online that maybe do not even arrive and also larger value items.
